Renowned singer Pink has recently shared a poignant update about how she welcomed the New Year—nestled in a hospital bed. The 46-year-old artist took to Instagram to post a cheerful selfie, showcasing her trademark smile even while clad in a hospital gown and sporting a bandage around her neck.
In her detailed caption, she looked back on the tumultuous year of 2025, providing insights into what led to her hospitalization. "As I close out this year, I'm taking a moment to honor, acknowledge, and repair my body," she expressed.
She continued, "While it may not be an extravagant facelift, I'm undergoing surgery for two shiny new discs in my neck. This new scar will serve as a reminder of my appreciation for this body I inhabit and utilize to its fullest. After all, rock 'n' roll is indeed a contact sport."
Interestingly, while the musician was recovering, her family enjoyed a fun day snowboarding without her.
Reflecting on 2025
In her introspection, Pink, whose birth name is Alecia Moore, revealed her relief at bidding farewell to what she described as a "doozy" of a year. She reflected on the past 12 months, which she characterized as ranging from "absolutely devastating to mildly annoying," yet she still managed to find beauty amidst the challenges.
Looking ahead, Pink drew inspiration from the Chinese zodiac, encouraging her followers to "shed that old snake skin and discover our horsepower," a nod to 2026 being the Year of the Horse.
"I firmly believe that 2026 will be brighter because I am actively choosing that path for myself. I hope and pray that everyone else can make similar wishes for themselves. Unfortunately, I recognize that isn’t a reality for everyone," she noted.
She expressed her commitment to work towards ensuring others have the freedom to choose their paths and pursue happiness. "Let’s strive to improve our lives and those of others. We shouldn’t shy away from self-care or caring for one another. I’m choosing joy and letting go of pain. Positive thoughts will take precedence over negative ones. I will resist the darkness and reclaim my wild spirit while continuously searching for the light, even when faced with adversity."
In 2025, one of Pink's standout moments was performing alongside her 14-year-old daughter Willow at Radio City Music Hall in New York. They joined forces with Hugh Jackman to deliver a memorable rendition of "A Million Dreams" from The Greatest Showman soundtrack, along with Pink's hit "Who Knew."
