I’m sorry that this note has been such a long time coming. In 2011 my sister and I spent a lot of time at your location as our Dad was very ill and he has since passed away so we no longer visit you.
We were very impressed by the service and cleanliness of your hotel. What we were even more impressed with was the way staff and management seemed to respect and work for each other. We saw managers stepping in to help out in ways that many wouldn’t and staff seemed to be happy to work there. It has always been on my mind to say a thank you so finally, here it is.

I was recently a guest of the above hotel and was visiting with 3 of my friends ; we had two rooms. I wanted to compliment and commend the staff and I mean ALL of the staff on making it my best stay at a hotel EVER. I travel frequently both for business and pleasure in Canada, the US and abroad and the staff at this hotel were the most accommodating , friendly and welcoming that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. We were in Edmonton during the coldest weather there has been all year (Edmonton was even the 2nd coldest place on earth that weekend ) and still they were amazing . No matter what time we encountered staff or where we met them, they all treated us with respect, asked if we required assistance and went out of their way to help us and meet our needs. This included everyone from the front desk, to the cleaning staff , to the people re-setting the tables when we were leaving for the airport; it was truly the most amazing display of customer service I have seen; and I work in an industry that has customer service professionals ; some whom report to me . I had to come back and share with my employees the amazing customer service and attention to detail that we received. I have never written to a hotel to either complain or compliment but I felt that I had to write to you to ensure this hotel and its' staff receive the recognition they deserve. Thank you; and you know when I next go back to Edmonton and require a hotel, I will be booking at the Holiday Inn Express Downtown!!

I chose the HIEx for the price. We don't usually stay downtown and it was a quick trip so "a hotel is a hotel" right? I am really impressed with everything at the hotel. the room was spotless. Kent, I stayed with you team March 12th. I suffer from a medical condition that requires that I carry a treatment device with me. I unfortunately left that device in my room on check out on the 13th. I discovered this when I arrived home on Friday night and immediately called the hotel and left a message with housekeeping that explained the problem and the urgency of returning the device to me. I had a call from Ryan first thing on Saturday morning who said he was going to check lost and found. A short time later I had another call from Ryan confirming that he had located the device and would have it sent to me by Fed Ex The device arrived this morning. (March 13th)

I t has been my pleasure staying there for the past couple of years and experiencing the most professional and courteous and friendly staff I have ever experienced. In my line of work, I stay in many Hotels and have never experienced such welcomed and serviced staff as the Edmonton Holiday Inn Downtown has given me. I must say, once again I'm impressed with this Holiday Inn location. They never seem to stop impressing me. I am a Platinum member which really is based on they amount of stays I have been at this location. 7:30 in the evening I was checking my Priority club account online and realized I had a reservation for that night. I was of course in another city on business so I called to inform them that I had to cancel which of course it was no problem and will not be charged. Through the past year the company I work for decided to have all of our employees stay at this Holiday Inn in Edmonton, based on my feed back. Because of the amazing service I have decided to stay at other Holiday Inns in other Cities where available while traveling on business. Staff is very courteous. Long time staff make a point of acknowledging me as a frequent guest which always feels welcoming. I often am the recipient of a little extra in my room which is greatly appreciated. I appreciate the upgrades on the work out area. I also appreciate the upgrade in room to a microwave and fridge as I often stay for extended nights and do not like to go out alone for dinner. I am a seasoned business traveler with minimal need for assistance. The associates were prompt and courteous with little wasted time upon check-in and check-out. This meets my needs perfectly. I was not staying your Hotel, I was instead at another hotel in the area when my vehicle was broken in to and a set of keys were removed from the vehicle. Your staff member found the keys and David (one of your front desk staff) went through a great deal of trouble attempting to contact me. David went as far as calling my Dealership on Vancouver island to track me down using nothing more than a key fob that had the Dealer name and my Vin# on it. I was looking at $1100.00 to have my vehicles locks and security system changed. I am very grateful to David and feel that he deserves acknowledgement from your chain . It would have been very easy for him to simply toss the key in a draw and wait for someone to ask if they had been found but he went one step further and tracked me down. A job well done.
